From the steaming morass that is the mind of the lovely Mr.Fosworth comes a Condition Zero Communist Custom adventure over four maps of snow, grime, greyness and of course - nuclear weapons.
It all seems quite unfair really as I'm sure Russia has bad rep when it comes to videogaming. It always seems to be full of hideous mutants, armies to fight off or regimes to topple. It's probably nice and warm there right now with the sun shining down on summer meadows and stuff - but fozzy cares nothing for all of that and this Tuesday invites his beloved Condition zero teams to take part in the "From Russia with love" one night cup event.
It is long overdue since our last CZ based foray and if the take up is decent enough we will throw in some more of these cups. If theres enough interest in CZ ongoing then you can expect a full league season onthe back of this. What we do need to know though is that you want one. So support the community and enter into some of these events.
Matches will begin at 8pm on this coming Tuesday. All matches will be played on teams own servers up until teh semi final stage where matches will switch to SGL servers and for the final itself.
Teams are requested to ensure they have the correct maps on their servers. If you have any query check the CZ-UK news post where Fozzy will post links to the correct map downloads.

As most of you know by now maps for the matches will be drawn at random 15 minutes before each round is due to start. This cup has been a great success in the past and we hope to continue this into the future. PLEASE REMEMBER - by playing in this event you MUST make sure ALL custom maps are uploaded onto your server before the first match takes place. The maps and download links are all on the rules page of the cup which I suggest you all read to avoid confusement

It's Back by popular demand for one night only clans get to slog it out in the Mystery Fun Cup. As some will know from previous events the whole idea and fun of this cup is you won't know what map you are playing until the night of the cup. You can see a list of the maps that we will be selecting from on the event page.
Note :: Clans will have to be in the custom ladder to take part in this event.You will also need to have one member from each clan idle in #enemydown.cs
Due to some help from a few extra developers (Spectral and IceMatrix), the long awaited next version of the SteamBans plugin is here.

NOTE: The pluginservers have changed, if you have sb_server in your configuration file, you need to remove it or nothing will work.
While browsing the CZ-UK site, i noticed Fozzy had posted that Wilma had joined ED, so went onto the ED forums and found this was true, JB had posted this:

The CL/DCL Team, have decided to draft in two new people to help us out. We had the apps in and had a discussion about things. It was VERY hard to choose who would be our next two DCL's. But after a vote, we as a team felt these two would fit in well in their position and hopefully be able to support us more.
We would also like to say Sorry to all those who did apply and didn't get the chance to become a DCL. Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about you guys, we are saving them and keeping them for next time we need to bring in some new people. So keep having fun and playing =]
